Hi Tony

This is not a book that we stock & is a 'Special Order' title, i have spoken to the publisher of 'You Need More Money' & they have informed us that the book is now 'Out of Print' & so no longer available.

Sorry to disappoint you.

sick..

Took the day off from work today; its too tiring working 4 days in a row. Lucky my boss doesnt mind that I take a day off work because I dont feel like working. But unfortunately now I am actually sick, with a sore throat. Maybe I wont be able to make it to work tomorrow either! Spent most of the day trying to sort out KYC.. With accomodation and all that.

Spent the rest of the day drooling over the new Apple mini mac;

Its only around 650$, so I'm thinking of getting it for my mum so we can throw away the old P3 500mhz, but theres so many connectivity issues.

I also got my credit card today after applying for it 2 weeks ago; so I could finally donate money to the tsunami diaster. And this is what I got in return:

Got a thank you from Peter Jensen!

Just read that John Howard would be at this weeks 10:30 service at St Andrews Cathedral, and he'll be doing the bible reading..

I just found an intellectual essay responding to "you need more money" from a guy in NZ. It is quite theological, so for those who are so inclined:
BRIAN HOUSTON’S HERMENEUTICAL GENIUS; A CRITIQUE OF BRIAN HOUSTON’S HERMENEUTICS IN HIS BOOK, YOU NEED MORE MONEY

Also spent a bit of time today searching for something that I have been searching for for a while.. The unattainable book:

Oh book, will I ever track you down?
There is a possibility of one in the UK, but it costs 16 pounds (around 40$A), 7 pounds of which is shipping. I will need more money if I buy it!

Info Day

Yesterday was the UNSW Info Day and I went to uni to do some leafleting. It was probably a lot better than leafleting at NTE mission, because people thought we were one of the official uni people so took all the leaflets that we gave out. But it felt a bit deceitful cos people were taking the leaflets thinking it was something else. Some people, when they saw what it was, stopped smiling, frowned, then turned around to give it back to us. Some people after taking it, asked what it is, and we said, campus bible study, and they turned around and looked at us, then made a made an annoyed sound then walked off.

When we were walking to lunch we saw five or six of our leaflets on the ground, and my mtser was shocked that people would litter the leaflets on the ground, but I thought it was already pretty good compared to HK, where 5 metres away from where the person is leafleting, you'd see a whole stack of those leaflets on the ground.

I heard yesterday that a pretty big name would be a guest next year at SOCM to do a 3 week course on something; possibly the charismatic movement. So exciting! We'll be inviting a few guests next year with Paddy leaving, so I started suggesting names to the MTSer in charge. I was like, lets get Phillip!!! Lets get Peter!!!
and he said, nah no way, they wont do it..
so I said, lets get John Woodhouse!! lets get David Cook!!
and he said maybe..
and I said well.. if not that, maybe we could invite Mr Houston.. Just to get some diverse views..
(last night he was on Face to Face on Channel 10 at like 12:30 or something! I missed it but I believe you can download here in a few days. It'll be the one on 5/1/05, when that comes out).

On Tuesdays I went to Koorong to get "Preparing Just for Starters", and "Evangelicalism Divided" by Iain Murray. When I asked the Koorong guy if he could help me find preparing JFS, he was like, whats that?? Do you mean JFS?
I listened to the first part of the CD last night, and it just helps with preparing session one. I dont know if I like the CD or not, because it seems a bit like cheating, cos it tells you everything about the passage. In a way its good, cos it told me stuff I didnt even realise, but then I really should have been able to figure out by myself.

Evangelicalism Divided is a really interesting read, but only for people who have some interest in church history. I just read the first 50 pages or so yesterday talking about the early Billy Graham Crusades and his willingness to cooperate in evangelism with non-evangelicals. And I'm just up to the part now after John Stott and D Martyn Lloyd Jones had their big showdown.
